AIRPARK INFORMATION: San Geronimo Airpark is a residential airpark founded in western Bexar County, Texas in 1981, by a group of aviation enthusiasts who spent years building the airpark with their own hands, as a place to raise their families and indulge their love of flying. Since 2015, 8T8 has been owned and operated by the San Geronimo Airpark Property Owners Association. There are approximately 100 hangars and 30 or so residences in the airpark. AIRPARK OPERATING pROCEDURES: San Geronimo Airpark [8T8] is as a privately-owned public-use airpark with a 3000' X 40' asphalt runway. See AirNav 8T8 Link. Prior to arrival, please review our Airpark Operating Rules. We don't have runway lights for night landings. Be aware, there may be deer and hogs on the runway as night approaches. In the interest of being good neighbors to nearby residential subdivisions, low-altitude high-speed passes are prohibited. Touch-and-go landings are limited to 2 per day. We do not have onsite fuel. Castroville Municipal [KCVB], 10 miles southwest, has the nearest fuel. See AirNav KCVB Link. AIRCRAFT PARKING: The aircraft parking area is north and west of the Ops/EAA buildings no closer to the runway than the line of hangars. Click here to see a diagram of the approved aircraft parking area. The first 14 nights parking is free if you check in with the POA upon arrival [210-744-1187]. Parking beyond 14 nights or in unauthorized areas will be subject to a fee of $50 per night. |
